How Does Motion Work?

1. Add tasks, projects and meetings in the app. You can also send them from forwarded emails, Slack or Teams messages, or Siri voice commands.

3. Let Motion scan your calendar for open time and place each task in the best slot.
4. When meetings or tasks change, Motion reshuffles the schedule automatically.

Motion Pricing and Plans

The screenshot shows two plans: Pro AI at $19 per seat per month and Business AI at $29 per seat per month. Pro AI includes AI Chat, tasks, calendar, docs, an AI Task Planner, unlimited storage and apps, with 7,500 AI credits. Business AI adds team capacity planning, dashboards, Gantt charts, time tracking, permissions and priority support, with 15,000 AI credits. Is Motion Free?

No free plan is shown in the screenshot. Both plans have a Try for free button, and Motion's pricing page says to start a free trial and cancel anytime. The page does not state how long the trial lasts, so check it before you sign up.

Auto-Scheduling

Motion's auto-scheduling finds open time on your calendar and places each task using its duration, deadline, start date and priority. Tasks with hard deadlines can go outside normal hours if needed. When meetings change, Motion reshuffles the schedule automatically.

AI Projects and Tasks

AI Projects and Tasks can build a project from a description, with tasks, deadlines and assignees. Motion tracks status and flags delays. Business AI adds team capacity planning, advanced dashboards and reports, timeline and Gantt charts, and time tracking.

AI Notetaker and Meetings

The AI Notetaker joins Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams calls to capture transcripts, summaries and action items. The AI Calendar also offers booking links, so people can book open time on your calendar. Both plans in the screenshot list AI Calendar and Meetings.

AI Chat and Docs

AI Chat lets users create tasks, docs and projects, search the workspace and ask questions about their Motion data. The screenshot also lists AI Docs, Wiki and Notes and an AI Writer and Editor on both plans. These tools help keep notes and project details in one place.

AI Credits and Apps

Pro AI lists 7,500 AI credits and Business AI lists 15,000 per seat per month. Both include unlimited storage, apps for iOS, Android and desktop, and integrations. The screenshot shows 25 cents per 100 credits on Pro AI and 19 cents per 100 credits on Business AI.
