What Is Jasper?

Jasper is an AI platform for marketing teams. People use it to write and edit content such as briefs, social posts and other marketing assets. Its Canvas workspace keeps documents and images together in one project. Jasper agents handle set tasks, and Jasper IQ adds a company's Brand Voice, Knowledge and Audiences to the content. Jasper also offers an API for companies that want to add its AI to their own tools.

Who Should Use Jasper?

Jasper is useful for marketing teams that make a lot of content and want it to match one brand style. Marketers can set up Brand Voices, Audiences and Knowledge once and reuse them in projects. How Does Jasper Work?

1. Create a project in Canvas. You can click Create a Project, type a description of the asset, or open an agent and click Use Agent.

2. Open Project Settings to set the project name, goals and Jasper IQ items such as audiences and voice.

3. Add content with the + button, the Agent button or the Chat icon. You can also upload images.

4. Edit by highlighting text to open the AI toolbar, which can enhance, rewrite or summarize. You can also ask Chat to update one or more assets.

5. Add comments and share the project with people or groups in your workspace.

Jasper Pricing and Plans

The screenshot shows two plans, Pro and Business, with the yearly view selected. In that view, Pro costs $59 per month per seat and includes one seat. Business has custom pricing, so buyers must contact sales. Pro includes the Canvas platform, agents for core marketing workflows, 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences. Business includes everything in Pro, plus agents for complex workflows, a no-code Custom AI Agent builder, unlimited Brand Voices, API access and admin controls. The screenshot does not show a Free plan.

Is Jasper Free?

The screenshot does not show a Free plan. The Pro plan has a Start Free 7-Day Trial button. Jasper's pricing page says the trial is for Pro only. Neither the screenshot nor the pricing page says whether a card is needed to start the trial. Business has no trial and uses custom pricing.

Canvas Workspace

Canvas is a workspace where users create, edit and share marketing content in one project. Users can type requests in Chat, add blank documents or images, comment on assets and switch between Canvas Mode and Table Mode. Canvas is available on all plans.

Agents

Agents are tools that work inside Canvas and make content that follows the project's settings. Pro includes agents for core marketing workflows. Business adds agents for complex workflows, such as GEO, translations and deep research, and a no-code builder for Custom AI Agents.

Jasper IQ: Brand Voice, Knowledge and Audiences

Jasper IQ combines Brand Voice, Knowledge and Audiences so content matches a company's style and facts. Pro includes 2 Brand Voices, 5 Knowledge assets and 3 Audiences. Business includes unlimited amounts of each, which matters to teams with many brands or products.

Language Support

Jasper's language page lists 24 input languages and 31 output languages, including English (British) and Portuguese (Brazilian). Input languages are the ones Jasper reads. Output languages are the ones it writes in. A Translation agent is listed on the same page.

API and Admin Controls

Business plan users can use the Jasper API to add its AI to their own platforms. The API documents cover the AI Engine, Data Retrieval, Brand Voice and Image APIs. Business also lists admin controls, Groups, SSO and SAML for IT teams.

Jasper is built for marketing teams that want content to follow one brand voice and share work in one place. Pro gives a low-seat entry with limits on Brand Voices, Knowledge assets and Audiences, while Business needs a sales call. Check the 12-month commitment and the trial terms before buying.
