Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

FreemiumAItools ("we", "us", "our") runs https://freemiumaitools.com (the "Website"), an independent directory of AI tools and business software with a blog. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Website.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

You do not need an account to browse the Website or read the blog. If you submit a tool or contact us, we collect what you enter, such as your name, email address, tool or company name, website URL, descriptions, features, pricing details, logos, screenshots, social media links and any messages you send.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting and infrastructure may log your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, date and time of access, and error and security logs.

Admin accounts

Our team logs in to a private admin panel through Neon Auth (Better Auth). This involves name, email, user ID, role, session data and login details. Passwords are stored in a securely processed form, never as readable text.

What we do not collect

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, payment card or bank account numbers, government IDs, precise location or other sensitive information through the Website. Please do not send us such information.

2. How we use your information

We use it to run and secure the Website, review and publish tool submissions, contact submitters, handle paid services we agree to by email, answer questions, prevent spam and fraud, improve the Website, keep directory information accurate, follow the law and enforce our Terms.

3. What becomes public

Tool information you submit for publication (name, description, features, logo, screenshots, website and social links) may be shown to all visitors if your listing is published. We do not publicly display your name or email as the submitter unless you ask us to.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only when needed with:

  • Service providers that host the Website and store data, including our database, file storage, authentication and email providers (we currently use Neon Postgres, Neon Object Storage and Neon Auth).
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants.
  • Government or law enforcement when the law requires it.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.

These providers may use your information only to provide services to us.

5. Storage and security

Structured data (submissions, categories, blog posts, submitter names and emails) is stored in Neon Postgres. Uploaded images (logos, screenshots, blog images) are stored in Neon Object Storage and served through our own media route so storage credentials are not exposed. When an image is replaced or deleted, our system is designed to remove files that are no longer used.

We use reasonable safeguards, including login-protected administration, restricted access, secure database connections, file-type and size checks and regular updates. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Our servers and providers may be located in the United States or other countries.

6. How long we keep information

We keep submission and contact information while a submission is under review, while a listing is published, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. We may keep it longer when needed for legal, tax, security or dispute reasons, and for a short backup period. Deleting a record may not instantly remove it from backups, caches, search engines or third-party archives.

7. Your privacy rights (US)

Depending on your state (for example California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut or Texas), you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and profiling (we do none of these).
  • Not be treated unfairly for using your rights.

To make a request, email freemiumaitools@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request”, your name and the email address you used. We may ask you to verify your identity. We respond within the time the law requires, generally 45 days. If we deny a request, you can reply to ask us to reconsider, and you may also contact your state attorney general.

California residents

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We do not track you across other websites and do not sell or share your data for advertising, so these signals do not change how the Website works.

8. Children

The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email freemiumaitools@gmail.com and we will delete it.

9. Third-party websites

The Website links to other sites, including the official websites of listed tools. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. Questions or requests: freemiumaitools@gmail.com.
