What Is Recraft?

Recraft is an AI design platform that makes images, vector graphics and mockups from text prompts. A vector graphic is made of lines and shapes, so it stays sharp at any size. Users can also upload their own images to build a reusable style. Recraft Studio adds editing tools, such as an upscaler, a background remover and an AI eraser. Paid plans also include models from other companies.

Who Should Use Recraft?

Recraft is useful for designers, sellers, marketers and teams who make logos, icons, ads, characters and product visuals. It suits people who need editable SVG files or a consistent look across many images. If you plan to use images for business, check the plan first. Free plan images are public and not licensed for commercial use.

How Does Recraft Work?

1. Open Recraft Studio and type a prompt, or upload an image.
2. Pick a style from the Style Library or create your own style from your images.
3. Generate several results and choose the one you like.
4. Edit the result with tools such as the upscaler, background remover, color palette or Mockup tool.
5. Export the file. You can use formats such as SVG, PNG, JPG or PDF, depending on the tool.

Pricing Plans of Recraft

The screenshot shows Free, Basic, Pro and Teams plans in annual view. Basic costs $10 per month, billed annually at $120. Pro costs $16 per month, billed annually at $192, with 2,000 credits selected. Teams costs $18 per month for each seat, billed annually at $211, with 2,000 credits per seat. Credits are units that pay for AI features. The page says annual billing saves 20%, but it does not show monthly prices in this view. The Pro and Teams cards have a credit menu with higher options that are not priced here. The API tab is not shown.

Is Recraft Free?

Yes. Recraft has a Free plan with limited free credits. The screenshot lists 3 generations per style per day, 3 image uploads per day and up to 2 images per generation. Free users can use Recraft models only. Free plan images are public, are not licensed for commercial use and have no parallel generation.

Recraft Key Features

Vector Generation

Recraft turns a text prompt into an SVG file with paths, strokes and fills. Users can recolor the palette, reduce the number of colors, remove background elements and resize without losing quality. Recraft says the files open in Figma, Illustrator and Framer. An Image Vectorizer converts PNG, JPG and WebP files into SVG.

Image Generation and Models

Recraft offers its own models, such as Recraft V4.1 Flash. The screenshot shows paid plans with Nano Banana, Seedream, GPT Image, Flux and other image models. Basic also lists tools such as Custom color palettes, Magic wand, Creative upscale, Artistic level and Extract prompt.

Custom Styles

Users can upload their own images, and Recraft turns them into a reusable, editable style without training a model. A Style Library and custom styles are listed on every plan. Basic and higher plans list unlimited use of styles, and Teams adds shared custom styles.

Mockup Generator

Users add a design by uploading it or generating it, choose a mockup template or make one from a prompt, and drag the design into place. A mockup is a picture that shows your design on a product. Recraft says you can export in any format and DPI.

Editing and Upscaling Tools

Recraft lists an AI Photo Editor, an AI Eraser, a Background Remover and an Image Upscaler. Recraft Crisp Upscale costs 1 credit per image. The Topaz option, from an outside provider, enlarges by 2, 3 or 4 times and costs 11 to 187 credits.

Video Generation

Pro and Teams include video generation. The screenshot lists Kling, Grok Imagine Video, Veo, Seedance and other video models, plus full access to video controls. Pro allows up to 10 parallel generations for video.
